Samsung to soon launch an Android Go smartphone: Here are the alternatives available right now

Samsung is gearing up to launch their Android Go Edition smartphone. However, there are plenty of options already available.

Samsung has got FCC certification for its upcoming Android Go smartphone

Samsung, one of the most popular brands when it comes to Android smartphone, is soon going to launch their own Android Go Edition smartphone. The handset has already received the required certifications from the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

As per the leaks, the upcoming Android Go Edition smartphone by Samsung will feature a 5-inch Super AMOLED display. The smartphone is most likely to get 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The dual-SIM handset is expected to get its power from the Exynos 7570 processor.

Until Samsung decides to officially bring their Android Go Edition smartphone in front of the world, here are some alternatives you can look out for.

Nokia 1

Nokia 1 comes in pretty small form factor

Nokia 1 is one of the first entry-level smartphones to get Android Oreo (Go Edition). The smartphone features a 4.5-inch IPS LCD display with 854x480 resolution. The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek MT6737M processor paired with 1GB of RAM. On the storage front, the Nokia 1 gets 8GB of storage which is expandable using a microSD card. It is currently available in India for a price of Rs. 4,999.

Lava Z50

Lava Z50 sports a 5-megapixel camera at the front as well as the back

The Lava Z50 was one of the first Android Oreo (Go Edition) smartphones to enter the Indian market. Just like the Nokia 1, the Lava Z50 also comes with a 4.5-inch IPS LCD display and the MediaTek MT6737M processor. What differs the two of them is the battery size and the cameras. Lava Z50 is up for sale in India with a price tag of Rs. 4,399.

Micromax Bharat Go

Micromax Bharat Go is one of the cheapest options when it comes to Android Go smartphones

Following the footsteps of the Nokia 1 and Lava Z50, Micromax also offers similar specifications in its Bharat Go smartphone. The major difference between the Bharat Go and Nokia 1 is the brand and the build quality. The Micromax Bharat Go is available for a price of Rs. 4,399.

Moto E5 Play

Moto E5 Play is just another entry-level Android Oreo Go Edition smartphone

Motorola has recently announced its answer to the Android Oreo Go Edition smartphones. The Moto E5 Play is soon getting an Android Oreo Go Edition variant which will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC.

Asus ZenFone Live L1

Asus ZenFone Live L1 gets an 18:9 display which makes it look more modern

Asus ZenFone Live L1 features a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1440x720 pixels. The smartphone is powered by the 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6739 processor. It packs in 1GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage which is further expandable using a microSD card.
