Samsung W2018 flip phone with f/1.5 aperture camera launched: Price, Specifications

In a world where flip phones are almost extinct, Samsung sees some kind of potential in the flip phones converting them to smartphones. Samsung has finally unveiled its ultra-premium flip phone at an event in Xiamen, China. As the company has introduced flip smartphones in the past, the new Samsung W2018 will also be sold only in Asia and will cost around USD 2,000 which roughly converts to Rs. 1,29,000. As of now, the phone is launched in China and there is no official announcement on as of when will the smartphone make its way to other markets.

Taking a quick glance at the spec sheet, the Samsung W2018 features two 4.2-inch AMOLED displays with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels. Being a premium smartphone it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC coupled with Adreno 540 GPU for graphics. The device packs in a massive 6GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage which is further expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card.

Under the hood, there is a 2,300mAh battery powering up the internals. The device runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with Samsung Experience UI and will soon be updated to Android Oreo as promised by the company.
