SHARP today launched its 29th bezel-less smartphone today the SHARP AQUOS S2 at an event in China. The phone comes with an almost bezel-less display and can be categorized in the flashy smartphones of 2017 list. The Sharp Aquos S2 comes featuring a 5.5-inch 2K display along with a front camera cut out similar in design to the Essential Phone. The phone, however, does also come with a bezel which is present at the bottom of the device. The bottom bezel that is present on the phone houses the home button which is also the fingerprint sensor. Interestingly, Sharp has decided to cut off the corners on the Sharp Aquos S2 instead of providing rounded or square corners.
On the back, we can see that the camera module is a splitting image of what is being expected to be featured in the Apple iPhone 8. Sharp has used a dual camera setup at the back with both the cameras having a f/1.75 aperture. However, we don't like the vertical camera placement as it seems to out of shape.

The SHARP AQUOS S2 will come in two variants a Standard Edition with the Snapdragon 630 SoC along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of Internal Storage, and a High Edition which will feature the Snapdragon 660 SoC along with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of Internal Storage. Both of the devices feel pretty mid-range and it doesn't feel like SHARP is trying to aim at the big boys. Both of the variants are backed by a 3,020mAh battery, and run on Google's Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. The company, for now, has only announced the product in China, and it will be starting at ¥2499 (Roughly $373).
