Sony MDR-XB950B1 Extra Bass Bluetooth headphones are simply one of the best Bluetooth headphones in the market. They look trendy and sound amazing, with clear sound and great bass. Though the price being on the higher side the Sony MDR-XB950B1 give you your money's worth.
The Sony MDR-XB950B1 for the high-end headphone market are extremely comfortable and sound clear with good bass. And if you want that extra punch you can just turn on the Bass Effect to enhance the Bass directly from the headphone. And a great thing about these is the battery that lasts 18-hours on a single charge. It also works via the 3.5mm cable if you have no juice left.
Sony has currently made available the Sony MDR-XB950B1 in two colours blue, and black. These headphones don't cheap out as they are made out of high-grade plastic and metal and for the earcups great cushioning has been used.
The Sony MDR-XB950B1 is not getting a huge design revamp as it is still using the design of its predecessors in the Extra Bass lineup. The headband is all-metal, and everything else is high-grade textured plastic.
These headphones feel like they can take a heavy beating and still come out strong. Also, the Sony MDR-XB950B1 achieves that sweet spot of being lightweight and still feel premium. The B1 also comes with the circumaural earcups to make you feel more comfortable and relaxed with these on.
Bluetooth headphones have become a rage these days with manufacturers removing the 3.5mm jack to listen to the audio. Due to which companies have started to make their headphones flashier. The Sony MDR-XB950B1, on the other hand, keep things simple and take the elegant and sleek road.
The Sony MDR-XB950B1 sound amazing, but to be honest these aren't in the Extra Bass series for that. The bass these headphones give out is amazing, and with a press of a button, you can get even more bass than what they usually put out. People think that bass headphones do not do well low frequencies, but these simply do.
These being the flagship model need to stand out. And, they do with clear and crisp sound, also providing the bass heads the bass they have always dreamt about.
The XB950B1's has amazing highs, mids, and lows. And, we know that that might be too much to say. But, these are the flagship for the Extra Bass lineup for a reason.
Sony has done an extremely great job till now, with the extra bass lineup. And the XB950B1 do not disappoint. The metal band gives the headphones the ruggedness they require. After a bit of usage, the clamp loosens a bit and takes the shape of your head, which is always a welcome feature. The ear cups are well padded or over padded with a kind of memory foam which is hugely comfortable.
The headphone is well padded as said the earcup padding is way over than what is required, and the head padding is also soft and comfortable, which does not put pressure on your head while usage. And trust us the earcups encompass your whole ear making them also noise isolating.
You can also download the Headphones Connect application from Sony to fine tune the headphones as per your liking. But, we weren't able to play around with the app as much as we would have liked to so we can't tell you much about that.
These headphones can connect to any device with Bluetooth and NFC. This also comes with Qualcomm's aptX technology which gives great sound. And also you can connect these to your devices with the included 3.5mm cable.
The Sony MDR- XB950B1 are a great pair of headphones with amazing bass and a long-lasting battery. And if you have ever used beats headphones, these trump them in every department. Great design, powerful performance, extreme comfort, and simply best in class sound quality.
These headphones are for the people who are in the market for high-end wireless headphones. These at Rs.12,990 are an extremely good pair of headphones, and you would be making the best choice going in for these.
