Top 5 Budget Smartphones: August 2017

The smartphone industry is getting vast day by day and there have been a lot of new releases lately. People have been confused which smartphone to buy and which not to buy. We have listed out few smartphones which we think will be the best in the price bracket. By budget smartphones, we mean the smartphones that cost under Rs. 15,000 because that is the cost people are willing to pay for a good smartphone. Here is the list of five smartphones which we think can make value for your money and these are in no particular order. All the smartphones in our list support 4G VoLTE.

1.) Lenovo K8 Note

Lenovo K8 Note features a 5.5-inch Full HD display and powered by a MediaTek Helio X23 chipset which is 64bit deca-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz. The phone comes in two variants, one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage and the other with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage which is further expandable up to 256GB using a micro-SD card. The smartphone is splash resistant and runs on stock Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box. All of this is backed by a 4,000mAh battery which can be charged faster using the turbo charger which comes in the box. The phone also features a dual-camera setup at the back with a 13-megapixel and a 5-megapixel sensor. The device also comes with a 13-megapixel front facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, front facing flash, beautify mode and pro mode.The phone can deliver some great real-life performance as it runs on stock Android. The Lenovo K8 Note is available exclusively on Amazon at a price of Rs. 12,999 for the 3GB+32GB variant and Rs. 13,999 for the 4GB+64GB variant.

2.) Xiaomi Redmi Note 4

Xiaomi has been known for delivering great devices at a cheap price. The Redmi Note 4 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset coupled with Adreno 506. The device comes in three variants - 2GB RAM + 32GB storage, 3GB RAM + 32GB storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. The storage on the phone is expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card. The smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front facing camera. The phone is backed by a 4,100mAh battery and can deliver some great battery life with company's optimized MIUI. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is priced at Rs. 9,999 for 2GB+32GB variant, Rs.10,999 for 3GB+32GB variant and Rs. 12,999 for 4GB+64GB variant.

3.) Huawei Honor 6X

Honor 6X is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 655 chipset paired with Mali-T830MP2. The smartphone features a 5.5-inch LTPS IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels. The phone comes in two variants, one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage and the other with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. In the camera department, the phone sports a dual camera setup at the back with 12MP + 2MP sensors. For selfies, the phone comes with an 8-megapixel front facing camera and currently runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. Under the hood, the phone packs a 3,340mAh battery. The Honor 6X is known for its great camera performance. Huawei Honor 6X is priced at Rs. 10,999 for the base variant and Rs. 12,999 for the 4GB + 64GB variant.

4.) Moto G5 Plus

 

Moto G5 Plus is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. The device comes in two variants, one with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of storage and the other with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. It features a 5.2-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels. The smartphone is splash and dust resistant and runs on stock Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box. The phone features a 12-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front facing camera. All of this is backed by a 3,000mAh battery.  Moto G5 Plus is known for its performance and software experience. The 3GB + 16GB variant is priced at Rs. 14,999 and 4GB + 32GB variants is priced at Rs 16,999 which is currently on sale and being sold at Rs. 14,999.

5.) Lenovo ZUK Z2 Plus

ZUK Z2 is the second smartphone from Lenovo making up to our list. The ZUK Z2 Plus is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 coupled with Adreno 530 GPU. The smartphone features a 5.0-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels. Just like other phones on our list, this smartphone also comes in two variants, one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage and the other with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The phone currently runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. The phone's price keeps on fluctuating and both the variants of the device are currently priced at Rs. 10,999.
