Google finally revamped its email client, Gmail. The company has redesigned the Gmail web interface and has added a few new features as well. If your Gmail interface has not been updated yet, you might need to wait as Google has just started rolling out the update.
As mentioned earlier, the new Gmail web interface brings a whole bunch of new features and here are the Top 5 new features.
Google now finally allows you to snooze messages on your Gmail. This feature has been there on the Google's Inbox android app and now the feature has made its way to the web interface as well. The feature will also soon make its way to the email client's Android and iOS app. You can use this feature in order to snooze important emails and read them later instead of just forgetting them forever.
With the Gmail's new refreshed design, the interface now shows attachments in the Inbox section as well. So, now it is not necessary to open an email to find an attachment as they will be highlighted just below the email in the Inbox. If you already know what the message is and just want to focus on the attachment this feature might come in handy.
Gmail has now introduced a new option where you can send self-destructing e-mails to anyone. However, the feature is not currently available for us yet. It might take some time to reach everyone. Once it does, you can send an email to someone with a given time period to read that email. If the person fails to read the email within the time period, it won't be available any longer. Even if the person has read the email, the email will self-destruct after the given time period is over.
Smart Reply feature was already available for Gmail's Android and iOS app. This feature allows you to send quick replies to an email. For example, if you get an invite email, the smart replies will say "Yes! I am coming" or "Sorry! I can't make it." You can choose from the given options in order to give a quick reply.
We get spammed up with so many emails and in all this junk we forget to read or reply to some of the important emails. Google has now got a solution for you. Gmail will now use its machine learning technology in order to find deadlines or dates and will remind for the important emails that you have not replied to.
