Twitter's iconic bird has been replaced by Shiba Inu as a nod to Dogecoin. This change comes just after Elon Musk has requested a dismissal of his $258B Dogecoin lawsuit.

Musk announced the change on Monday afternoon in a tweet, marking an year-old conversation saying that as promised he has changed the logo of the platform. However, we do not know if this change is permanent or temporary.

As a response to the action, the official Dogecoin account tweeted "Very currency. Wow. Much Coin. How Money. So Crypto."

Musk decided to act on the logo change just two days after he requested a judge to throw out a $258 billion racketeering lawsuit accusing him of running a pyramid scheme to support Dogecoin. Musk's lawyers claimed that the lawsuit by Dogecoin investors is a "fanciful work of fiction" over the billionaire's "innocuous and often silly tweets."

Back in December 2013, a pair of software engineers created Dogecoin as a joke. Since then, Dogecoin has managed to become the eighth-most valuable cryptocurrency, with a market cap of over $13 billion, according to CoinMarketCap.com. The name of the cryptocurrency was based on the popular Doge meme from a decade ago.

After Shiba Inu was made the logo for the social media platform, Dogecoin jumped over 20 percent (about $0.09).
