Vivo India has just unveiled the much-awaited Vivo V17 Pro smartphone. It is a successor to the last year's Vivo V15 Pro and brings a lot of improvements. The key features of the handset include a quad-camera setup at the back and a pop-up selfie camera. Here's everything you need to know about the new mid-range device.
As for the specifications, the Vivo V17 Pro sports a 6.44-inch fullHD+ Super AMOLED display. The dual-SIM handset is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 octa-core processor coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. It runs on Google's Android 9 Pie operating system layered with FunTouch UI on top of it. All of this is backed by a massive 4,100mAh battery with support for Vivo’s dual-engine 18W fast charging technology.
In terms of optics, the Vivo V17 Pro comes with a quad-camera setup at the back consisting of a 48-megapixel primary lens, a 13-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x optical and 10x digital zoom, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel sensor for bokeh effects.
Upfront, there is a dual-camera pop-up selfie camera setup. It includes a 32-megapixel primary lens coupled with an 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor.

With its new smartphone, Vivo has finally started giving USB Type-C port for charging and data syncing. While this gives a modern touch to the smartphone, it still carries the beloved 3.5mm headphone jack. Also, the company has upgraded the in-display fingerprint scanner and they now claim 0.37 seconds unlock time.
The Vivo V17 Pro is launched with a price tag of Rs. 29,990. It will be available in two colour variants - Glacier Ice and Midnight Ocean. The smartphone will be up for grabs starting 27 September 2019 while users can start pre-ordering from September 20. The smartphone will be made available on Vivo's own online store, Paytm Mall, Flipkart, Amazonas well as Tata Cliq.
