Vodafone VoLTE services now available in more cities, Here's what you need to know

Reliance Jio entered the telecom industry resulting in a complete change. Companies like Vodafone, Airtel and Idea have all introduced new internet packs since Jio's entrance. The companies are also working on bringing their VoLTE services into action. Vodafone and Airtel have already started providing VoLTE services in few cities in India. Vodafone has now expanded the list of cities by adding Delhi-NCR circle, Gujarat and Mumbai.

The telecom operator has added VoLTE functionality only for a few smartphones. The services are limited to select models from Samsung, Nokia, Xiaomi, Honor and OnePlus. Starting off with Samsung, currently, the list includes only the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro and the Galaxy J7 Nxt. Nokia smartphones to support Vodafone's VoLTE include only the Nokia 5 and Nokia 8.

OnePlus, on the other hand, has the OnePlus 3, 3T, 5 and the OnePlus 5T in the list. One of the most popular brands in India, Xiaomi, has three devices on the list including the Redmi 4, Mi Mix 2 and the Mi Max 2. Honor has four smartphones on the list which include Honor View 10, 9i, 8 Pro and much popular Honor 7X.

How to activate VoLTE?

If you have any of the smartphones mentioned above and you live in Delhi-NCR, Gujrat or Mumbai, you should be able to use Vodafone VoLTE. However, you will need to perform a few steps before activating VoLTE. First of all, you need to be sure that your smartphone is on the latest Software provided by the OEM. Now, you will have to wait to get a verification that VoLTE voice calling feature has been enabled. For any further assistance, you can call 198.
