Facebook-owned WhatsApp has rolled a new update for the Apple iOS users. The 2.18.51 update brings a couple of new features to the table. The new features now allow iPhone users to play YouTube, Facebook and Instagram videos within the WhatsApp app itself.
Earlier, if the users clicked on Instagram or Facebook videos they were redirected to their respective apps or browser links. Now, they can simply playback the videos within the app itself with PiP (picture-in-picture) mode. PiP mode will allow users to keep playing the videos and still scroll through or switch between chats.
However, the feature though included in the changelog does not seem to work properly just yet. So, users will need to wait for a couple of days until the next update is rolled out and the feature starts working.

Recently, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg made a couple of announcements at the F8 event. As far as WhatsApp is concerned, the CEO announced that the cross-platform messaging application will soon get support for group video calling. The app will also get support for stickers found on some of its competitors such as Hike Messenger.
Meanwhile, a WhatsApp text has been flying around that is potentially crashing the application on people's smartphone. The text includes a Black Dot emoji and says this text can hang your smartphone. Here are some ways to prevent that text from hanging your smartphone.
