Xiaomi launched WhatsApp based service for its users in India, Here is what you need to know

Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Xiaomi is now one of the most popular smartphone manufacturers in India. While a move to increase their presence in the country even more and facilitate their customers, the company announced a few move. The company has announced a WhatsApp based Xiaomi Mi Bunny subscription service.

The new service by the company offers instant updates to users. These updates inform users about latest Xiaomi news, new product launches along with product deals, sale reminders, notifications about MIUI weekly updates, and reminders about Mi Fan meetups. All of these happen via messages of the popular messaging platform WhatsApp. Users can also use the Mi Bunny subscription to raise warranty related information. The Chinese company is taking a huge benefit of the WhatsApp Business platform. The WhatsApp Bussiness Platform debuted globally last year.

How to use Xiaomi's new Mi Bunny Service

Users can start interacting with Xiaomi Mi Bunny by sending a simple message. Users need to send "Xiaomi" to +91-7760944500 along with their name and city via WhatsApp. This will subscribe you to the service. The company will send you a welcome message to confirm your subscription. If you want to raise warranty related requests, you need to send "Support". This message will be sent to the same number. Then the company will provide you with the on-screen instructions you need to follow.

The Xiaomi Mi Bunny service is currently in beta testing. This means the service will be limited and also the functionality also. Although the company has plans to add more functionalities over time, it is still a long time to come. The company also mentioned in its Mi forums that your details won't be available to third-party services.
