Xiaomi Mi 7 to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC

Today, there has been a report on Weibo from GizmoChina regarding the Xiaomi Mi 7. The Mi 7 will be the smartphone manufacturers next flagship device.

Xiaomi launched the Mi 6 in China a few months back. Today, there has been a report on Weibo from GizmoChina regarding the Xiaomi Mi 7. The Mi 7 will be the smartphone manufacturers next flagship device. The report states citing an industry insider that the Xiaomi Mi 7 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset. The report also states that the phone will come sporting a 6-inch OLED display from Samsung.

The company is expected to launch the device in the first quarter of 2018 says the report. There previously have been reports stating that Samsung and LG will also be launching their flagship devices with the same chipset the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 around the same time.

We also know that the Xiaomi Mi 7 will come in two RAM variants, 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM. It has also been confirmed that the smartphone manufacturer will be providing a dual camera system in its next flagship smartphone. In the dual camera system, one lens will be a wide-angle lens and the other one will be a telephoto lens which will provide better depth perception.

As per previous reports the company is said to have a ceramic and glass build for the smartphone. As for the display, the Xiaomi Mi 7 will feature a 6-inch full-screen display similar to the Mi MIx. The phone as per us will have a front mounted home button with a fingerprint sensor embedded in it. As we don't think that what the leaks say is true, they point towards the fact that Xiaomi will be providing an in-screen fingerprint sensor.

As for now we suggest that you take this news with a pinch of salt as the company is yet to make any announcements regarding the smartphone officially, and till that happens next year we say that any rumours and leaks are not to be believed as is.
