Xiaomi Mi A2 finally starts receiving Android 10 update, brings multiple new features

The Android 10 update has a size of 1.3GB and is slowly rolling out to all Xiaomi Mi A2 users, to avoid server congestion.

Even though this build has been labelled as 'stable', there are still a number of kinks that the company need to get rid off.

Xiaomi Mi A2 was launched back in July 2018, running Google's Android 8.1 Oreo operating system in its stock configuration. It received the Android 9 Pie update back in November of 2018. Now, the company has officially started rolling out Android 10 on to the smartphone.

Android 10 was launched back in September of last year. And for users running a barebones version of the operating system, this has been a long wait.

The Android 10 update has a size of 1.3GB and is slowly rolling out to all Mi A2 users, to avoid server congestion.

To download and install the update, head to the device settings panel and open the About Phone tab. There click on the system updates tab, which will take you to a separate page, where you can click the Check for updates button. If the update shows up, you can click download and install. After which the update will automatically download on your phone and install itself by restarting.

We recommend that you fully charge your device before performing an update, as if it shuts down during the update process there might be chances of the device being bricked, which means the device will be rendered useless.

Even though this build has been labelled as 'stable', there are still a number of kinks that the company need to get rid off. These include VoWiFi option missing, APEX packages also require that you have a locked bootloader.
