Xiaomi, the Chinese tech giant, has launched the Mi TV 4 in India alongside the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro. This is the first time the company has brought any of its TV's to the country. This could help in expanding the wide range of portfolio of products Xiaomi already has in India. The Mi TV 4 carries a very modern design and is even slimmer than most of the smartphones including the Apple iPhone X.
In terms of the specifications, the Mi TV 4 measures in just at around 4.9mm which makes it 30 percent thinner than the Apple iPhone 7. The model that has made its way to India showcases a 55-inch panel. The display is a 4K display which makes it a resolution as 3840x2160 pixels. The television also comes with a frameless design helping in achieving a more modern look.
For sound, the Mi TV 4 comes integrated with Mi TV Bar with 10 speakers, 2 wireless rear satellite speakers and a subwoofer. The television also features Dolby Atmos audio technology with 2 up-firing speakers. The company claims that all of this will help in providing "an immersive 3D sound experience."

The Xiaomi Mi TV 4 in India will come with content from Hotstar, Sony Liv, Voot, Zee 5, Alt Balaji, Hungama Play, The Viral Fever and much more. The Mi TV 4 users can access 80 percent of the content from these for free. The company has also added PatchWall in the Mi TV 4. The Android-based PatchWall also comes with AI (artificial intelligence) based recommendations. There is a Cortex-A53 quad-core processor to run the OS smoothly. The CPU is clocked at 1.8GHz and comes coupled with Mali-T830 GPU.
Xiaomi has launched the Mi TV 4 55-inch in India with a price tag of Rs. 39,999. The aggressive price tag by Xiaomi has set a tough competition against the likes of Samsung and Sony. Additionally, customers who purchase it in the first three months will get 3-months subscription to Sony LIV and Hungama which is worth Rs. 619. Under the offer, customers will also get a free Mi IR Cable and On-Site installation worth Rs. 299 and Rs. 1,099. The Mi TV 4 will go on sale for the first time on February 22 via Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home stores.
