Xiaomi India has finally unveiled the much anticipated Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 in the country. The smartphone giant also launched a new variant called as the Redmi Note 5 Pro. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 was one of the most selling smartphones in India and now its successor is finally here. The Redmi Note 5 Pro features a dual camera setup at the back while the Redmi Note 5 has a single camera. Here are detailed specifications of both the smartphones
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 features a 5.99-inch IPS LCD display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC. The device comes in two variants, one with 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage and the other with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The smartphone runs on MIUI 9 based on Android Nougat out of the box. Under the hood, there is a massive 4,000mAh battery powering up the internals.
On the optics front, the Redmi Note 5 sports a 12-megapixel camera at the back with f/2.2 aperture and a LED flash. Up front, there is a 5-megapixel selfie snapper with a selfie flash.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset clocked at 1.8GHz. The smartphone comes with a 5.99-inch IPS LCD display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The device will be available in two variants, 4GB+64GB and 6GB+64GB. Just like the Redmi Note 5, the Pro variant also runs on MIUI 9 and it is backed by a 4,000mAh battery.

In the camera segment, the Redmi Note 5 Pro features a dual-camera setup at the back. The dual-camera setup consists of a 12MP and a 5MP camera sensor. Interestingly, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro also focuses on selfies and brings a 20-megapixel selfie shooter with LED flash.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is launched at a price of Rs. 9,999 for the base variant. The 64GB variant of the smartphone will retail for Rs. 11,999. The Redmi Note 5 Pro is priced at Rs. 13,999 for the 4GB RAM variant while the 6GB RAM variant retails for Rs. 16,999. The smartphones will be available via the flash sale system on both Flipkart as well as Mi.com.
