Xiaomi rolling out 960 FPS slow-mo update to Poco F1, Widevine L1 and 4K 60 FPS coming in February

Xiaomi will soon start rolling out the 960 FPS slow-mo feature via a stable update. The company will soon add Widevine L1 and 4K recording.

Poco F1 will soon get 4K 60 FPS support

Xiaomi is constantly working on bringing a better user experience for Poco F1 users around the globe. The company recently rolled out the Android 9 Pie based MIUI 10.1 update which brought in a lot of useful changes. Currently, the users are waiting for Widevine L1 and 4K 60 FPS support.

Now, Poco India's general manager C Manmohan has tweeted about some of the upcoming features. Manmohan claims that 960 FPS slow-mo and Night node is soon making its way to the Poco F1 via a stable build. The company has also optimised the battery drain issues and touch issues that users have been complaining about lately.

As for the much awaited 4K 60 FPS, Manmohan says that the company will be rolling out a stable update sometime in February that will bring in the feature. They are also working with their partners to soon get the Widevine L1 certification.

Xiaomi Poco F1 Specifications

Xiaomi Poco F1 sports a 6.18-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080x2246 pixels. It is powered by the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with the Adreno 630 GPU. It packs in up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage, which is further expandable using a microSD. The smartphone currently runs Android 9 Pie based MIUI 10.1. All of this is backed by a 4,000mAh battery which supports Qualcomm Quick Charge technology.

As for the optics, the Poco F1 features a dual-camera setup at the back consisting of a 12-megapixel primary and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. Up front, there is a 20-megapixel selfie shooter.
