Xiaomi releases Android 9 Pie update schedule for its smartphones: Mi Mix 3 to Redmi Note 5 Pro

Xiaomi has finally unveiled their plan to update their smartphones to the latest Android version aka Android 9.0 Pie.

Xiaomi is one of the biggest smartphone manufacturers in India.

Xiaomi is a company that has a unique approach to software on their smartphones. The software update updates the MIUI version bringing new features but not the Android version. However, until now there was no news when their old smartphones will be updating to Android 9.0 Pie or even Android 8.0 Oreo.

According to the roadmap published by the company Redmi 5, Redmi 5A, Redmi 5 Plus, and Mi 5X will be the last devices receiving Android 8.0 Oreo before the end of 2018. As for Android 9.0 Pie, the update has already rolled out to the Mi Mix 2S, the Mi 8, and the Mi 8 Explorer Edition. The Mi 8 SE, the Mi 8 Pro, and the Mi Max 3 will get the Android 9.0 Pie update before the end of 2018.

However, it is to be noted that the company only released the schedule until the end of the year. There may be devices getting updates in the starting of 2019 so don't worry if your device is not on this list.
