Xiaomi's upcoming mid-range smartphone, Redmi Note 8 Pro is expected to look like the Redmi K20. Here's everything you need to know.
While Realme India just unveiled the Realme 5 series in India, Xiaomi is also gearing up to launch the next Redmi 8 series. The Redmi 8 was spotted on the internet a few days ago and now the Redmi Note 8 Pro showed up. While the Redmi 8 is expected to be more of a budget oriented option, the Redmi Note 8 Pro will be the highest-end of its upcoming mid-rangers.
The upcoming Redmi Note 8 Pro leaked at a set where its TV commercial was being filmed. According to the images, the design looks quite similar to what we have seen on the recently launched Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro. Also, the company looks like dropping the Xiaomi logo in exchange for a Redmi logo.
Unlike the last generation, the rear camera setup is not on the top left but has been shifted to centre. Also, right below the triple camera setup at the back, we can also see the fingerprint scanner. It clearly means that the mid-range device would not get an in-display fingerprint sensor.

As for the specifications, the details have not come out yet. However, judging the leaked image, we can confirm that the upcoming mid-range smartphone will feature a triple camera setup at the back. Recently, Lu Weibing from Xiaomi came forward and suggested that the upcoming Redmi Note 8 series will be all about long battery life, better camera performance and a higher screen-to-body ratio.
