Your Apple Watch screen is prone to cracking. Here is what to do

Apple accepts that Apple Watch can crack its glass without any misuse due to a flaw apple knew. Apple is also offering fix free of charge.

Smartwatches are now a trend in 2019.

Glass screens cracking due to abuse and drops and force applied the screen is normal, However, Apple themselves claim that the screens of their watches can crack without even touching the watch. This means that the displays are prone to cracking due to a design flaw. This is not the first time the company has accepted to have design flaws in their products.

Apple also claims that only the Apple Watch Series 2 and Series 3 are affected and the rest of the Apple Watch generations i.e. Series 1 and Series 4 are unaffected by this issue. Considering Apple Watch is one of the best selling smartwatches right now, this issue can affect probably hundreds of thousands of watches.

However, Apple also said that an Apple store or an Apple-authorized service provider will replace the screen on eligible units that exhibit this type of crack, free of charge so that the users do not have to suffer.
