Xiaomi has today launched the Mi Max 2 in India at a launch event in New Delhi. The phablet is priced at Rs. 16,999 and its unique selling point is that it flaunts a large 6.44-inch display and packs a massive 5,300mAh battery.

Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. The phablet features a large 6.4-inch Full HD Display with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. The company has launched a single variant of the phablet in India which comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. In the camera department, the device includes a 12-megapixel primary camera with dual-tone LED flash and a 5-megapixel camera on the front with beautify feature for better selfie shots. Mi Max 2 runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with MIUI 8 layered on top of it. The company also promises an update to MIUI 9 will roll-out soon for the phablet. The phone also sports a fingerprint scanner at the back. A massive 5,300mAh battery provides power to this huge phablet which also charges up to 68 percent in an hour using the Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0. Mi Max 2 supports all basic connectivity options including the 4G VoLTE and a USB Type-C port.
Price, Availability and Offers
Xiaomi has priced the Mi Max 2 at Rs. 16,999 and will go on sale from July 27. The phone will be made available on online as well as offline stores. Mi Max 2 will be available on the company’s own online store and other e-commerce websites like Flipkart and Amazon. However, Tata Cliq and Croma stores will also hold sales of the same. Customers buying the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 will get up to 100GB of 4G data through Reliance Jio.
Price is little bit on a higher side…I would rather pay a few thousand rupees more & get myself the Huawei Honor Note 8….
