Xiaomi has recently rolled out Android 9 Pie update for Mi A1. While the update has still not reached every Mi A1, the company has warned users not to try rolling back to Android Oreo. The warning was posted by "Elanine2046", an Administrator in the MIUI community.

The warning is for Mi A1, Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite users, who have already updated to Android 9 Pie. Notably, all these smartphones are a part of Google's Android One program. According to the post, Android Pie has brought many irreversible changes to the system file, which is why users are highly recommended not to roll back to any previous version. Further, the post claims that forcefully rolling back to Android Oreo might result in an unstable software experience.

Xiaomi Mi A1, Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite have recently received the Android 9 Pie update with the December 2018 security patch. The update brings all the changes that were introduced by Google including gesture-based navigation, app actions, Adaptive battery and much more. There are also stability improvements for the devices.
