Amazon launches Audible in India: Here's how you can start listening to free audiobooks

Audible is now available in India

Amazon has announced the launch of their new service, Audible in India. The audiobook service by Amazon has been available in the US and few other countries till now. At just Rs. 199 per month, Indians can now start enjoying the new service. Audible is also offering a free trial of 30 days for those who are unsure about spending Rs. 199.

With a collection of 400 exclusive titles for India, Audible is looking forward to being the best online audiobook service in India. Apart from that, Audible also has a huge library of 2,00,000 audiobooks and programs from all around the globe.

While the members can enjoy listening to any audiobook they like, non-members can choose to buy one or two as al-a-carte. Membership comes in at a premium of Rs. 299 per month. Users can even pay for 6 months and 12 months together by paying Rs. 1345 and Rs. 2332 respectively where they will be saving up to 35 percent.

How to start your free trial?

  • Head over to Google Play Store or App Store on your Android or iOS device
  • Search for Audible and install the application
  • Open the app and tap on Sign in. Sign in with your Amazon account. If you don't have one you have to head over to Amazon.in to create one
  • Click on Get Started and select the Free trial pack
  • You will need to enter your payment details in order to complete the transaction

Amazon will charge you Rs. 2 which will be credited back to your account within 48 hours. Do note that you will have to cancel the subscription if you do not want to pay Rs. 199 or else the membership will be auto-renewed.

Users can even head over to Audible.in using their computer in order to access the audio library.
