Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi is launching a new entry-level smartphone, Redmi Go in India. Here's what to expect.
Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi is finally gearing up to launch their first Android Go Edition smartphone in India, the Redmi Go. The smartphone was announced back in January and it is available in a few markets already. Xiaomi is bringing the entry-level smartphone to India on March 19.
The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has even set up a dedicated page on its website to show the countdown to the launch. The website also reveals that the Android Go powered smartphone will come with more than 20 regional languages, dedicated expandable storage and Google Assistant in Hindi.
As far as the specifications are concerned, the Redmi Go smartphone features a 5-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels. The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. It comes with 8GB of onboard storage, which is further expandable using a microSD card. The dual-SIM handset runs on Google's Android Oreo (Go Edition) operating system. All of this is backed by a 3,000mAh battery.
