Xiaomi to release Android Q for 9 of its smartphones: Redmi Note 7, Mi 9 and more

Xiaomi has rolled out a list of devices that will be getting the Android Q based MIUI 11 update later this year.

Android Q will be available for these Xiaomi devices soon.

Google recently announced their latest smartphone operating system, the Android Q. Now, smartphone giants like Xiaomi have started rolling out a list of devices that will receive the update this year. Xiaomi will release the major update with its upcoming version of MIUI, the MIUI 11. The new user interface has been in development since January and it is expected to bring cosmetic changes along with performance as well as battery optimizations.

While the news of MIUI 11 might not be as exciting for everyone, Xiaomi has already rolled out a list of devices that will be getting the Android Q update later this year or in the Q1 of 2020. It is quite obvious that the flagship Mi 9 and Mi Mix 3 will be the first two Xiaomi devices to get the Android Q or MIUI 11 update.

Apart from that, the company will also be updating the older flagship models like Mi 8, Mi 8 Screen Fingerprint Edition, Mi 8 Explorer Edition and the Mi Mix 2S later this year. Xiaomi Mi 9 SE also managed to make it to the list. Even the recently launched Redmi K20 and K20 Pro will be updated before 2019 ends.

Currently, the Mi 9, Mi Mix 3 and Redmi K20 Pro users are already enjoying the taste of Android Q as these devices are a part of Google's Android Q Beta program.
