Asus launched two budget smartphones last year, the Asus ZenFone Max (M1) and the ZenFone Lite (L1). While they were here to compete against the Redmi series of smartphones, they have just got a price cut to make the competition even tougher. Prices for both the smartphones have already been updated on the e-commerce website, Flipkart.
The Asus ZenFone Lite (L1) is now available for an impressive price tag of Rs. 4,999. The smartphone was launched with a price tag of Rs. 5,999. Now the phone directly competes against the Xiaomi's recently launched Redmi Go smartphone. The device comes with a 5.45-inch display and a Snapdragon 430 processor. It also packs in 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage.
The Asus ZenFone Max (M1) on the other hand is now down from Rs. 7,499 to just Rs. 6,999. The smartphone features the same processor as the Lite L1 but comes with 3GB of RAM an d32GB of onboard storage. It also gets a fingerprint scanner at the back, which is lacking on the Lite L1.
As for the optics, the ZenFone Max (M1) gets a 13-megapixel camera at the back with f/2.0 aperture. Up front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture. While the rear camera is same on the ZenFone Lite (L1), it gets a 5-megapixel selfie snapper on the front.
