The Canadian giant BlackBerry and Optiemus have rolled out media invites for a launch event which will be held on August 1 in New Delhi, India. Allegedly, this could be an event for the BlackBerry KEYone as the smartphone had no official launch or announcement in the country. Few reports suggest that the specifications of the Indian variant of the smartphone could be slightly different than the international variant. The device could be priced at around Rs. 39,999.
Blackberry KEYone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage which can be further expanded up to 256GB using a micro-sd card. It sports a 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 1080x1620 pixels and comes with a physical keyboard sitting right below the display. Under the hood, the phone packs a 3,505mAh battery. In the camera department, the phone includes a 12-megapixel primary camera with f/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus and a dual tone LED flash. Up front, the KEYone comes with an 8-megapixel camera with an aperture of f/2.2. The smartphone runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box.
