BlackBerry partners up with Bullitt Group to bring more secure devcies

BlackBerry to bring more BlackBerry Secure devices in partnership with the Bullitt Group

BlackBerry Limited has announced a partnership with the Bullitt Group, a British smartphone and consumer electronics maker. The companies, in partnership, will develop new highly-secure connected devices that will be certified as “BlackBerry Secure.”

Bullitt Group will embed BlackBerry Secure into a range of smartphones by manufacturers like Cat (Caterpillar Inc.) and Land Rover who make secure and rugged smartphones. This will be really helpful for the security-conscious consumers and enterprise customers.

Commenting on the partnership, Alex Thurber, SVP and GM of Mobility Solutions, BlackBerry, said, "This new deal will allow us to expand our BlackBerry Secure footprint into the more than 100 markets that Bullitt Group currently distributes its products, especially in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.” “Bullitt Group’s customers, from farmers and construction workers to outdoor enthusiasts, will now be able to have rugged products that aren’t just durable on the outside, but also strong on security on the inside,” he added.

"WITH THE RISING THREAT OF HACKS AND SECURITY BREACHES IN MOBILE AND CONNECTED IOT DEVICES, IT WAS IMPORTANT FOR US TO FIND A PARTNER THAT CAN HELP US KEEP PACE WITH, AND PROTECT AGAINST, THE FAST-CHANGING SECURITY CHALLENGES THAT CONCERN OUR CUSTOMERS,” SAID JAMES SHANNON, CHIEF PRODUCT OFFICER, BULLITT GROUP. HE ADDED, “BY PARTNERING WITH BLACKBERRY, WE’RE ABLE TO PROVIDE A LEVEL OF SECURITY THAT WILL GIVE OUR CUSTOMERS PEACE OF MIND WHEN COMMUNICATING AND USING THEIR DEVICES FOR BUSINESS, OR IN THEIR EVERYDAY LIVES.”

Bullitt Group targets specific audiences and designs, develops and produces innovative products for them. They have a line-up of rugged and tough devices which target users that are always at construction sites or climb a lot of mountains. Bullitt Group is popular in over 100 countries while they strongly focus towards Europe, the Middle East, Africa, North America and Latin America.
