Meizu M6 launched in India: Price, Specifications and Alternatives

Meizu M6 was first launched in China six months ago

Meizu, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has launched another affordable smartphone in India. The Meizu M6 comes in at a price of Rs. 7,699 and at that price point it gives direct competition to the Xiaomi Redmi 5. However, as the smartphone was launched in China almost six months ago, it carries a slightly dated hardware and design.

Specifications

As far as the specifications are concerned, the Meizu M6 features a 5.2-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels. The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek MT6750 processor. The device packs in 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. The dual-SIM handset runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. Under the hood, there is a 3,070mAh battery.

On the optics front, the Meizu M6 sports a 13-megapixel camera at the back with f/2.2 aperture and dual-LED dual-tone flash. Up front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie shooter f/2.0 aperture.

Alternatives

The Meizu M6 does not have an 18:9 display in 2018 and comes with an underpowered processor. Here are some alternatives at a similar price point with better design and hardware.

Xiaomi Redmi 5

Xiaomi Redmi 5 is one of the best alternatives to the Meizu M6. The Redmi 5 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC. The smartphone features a 5.7-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. Xiaomi Redmi 5 is currently available at a starting price of Rs. 7,999.

10.or G

10.or G is not as impressive in terms of looks but it does have some powerful internals. The 10.or G sports a 5.5-inch FullHD IPS LCD display. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC coupled with 3GB or 4GB of RAM. The dual-SIM handset comes with 32GB or 64GB of storage. 10.or G starts at a price of Rs. 7,699.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5

If you are willing to spend a little bit more, the Redmi Note 5 can be a great choice. The smartphone comes with an 18:9 display and it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset. The Redmi Note 5 is available in India at a starting price of Rs. 9,999.
