Foldable iPhone might become a reality soon

Apple is a company which don't need any introduction. As the market gears up for the launch of 2018 iPhone models. The company is gearing up for something big. Apple is gearing up for the smartphones in their 2020 lineup. The Apple is planning to launch a foldable smartphone in 2020. This is in line with the previous report of Apple partnering up with LG for foldable OLED displays. This will enable the technology giant to launch a smartphone that can turn into a tablet when needed.

Does it mean a foldable iPhone by Apple is a reality?

These speculations arise due to a courtesy of Bank of America Merrill Lynch. As per a report by CNBC, we know that Apple is working with many of its Asian partners to launch the rumoured foldable iPhone before 2020. Analyst Wamsi Mohan also in a note to a client noted, that the new iPhone ay potentially double up as a tablet. The analyst says to have prepared this note by meeting many of the company's unit supplies in Asia.

This is not the first time reports like this have seen the light of the day. There were reports back in 2017 stating the same. Also, there were reports of LG working with Apple to make the next generation iPhone's launching in 2020. This partnership is for developing foldable OLED's and flexible printed motherboards.

Meanwhile, the Cupertino based Technology Giant is expected to launch three smartphones in 2018. These smartphones will adopt the iPhone X design. These smartphones will also ditch the TouchID in favour of the FaceID. However, there are rumours of these smartphones coming with an LCD display instead of OLED to keep costs down.
