Samsung Galaxy F is the first foldable smartphone by the company. Here's everything you need to know about it
A few days ago, Samsung unveiled its first foldable smartphone, Galaxy F at the Samsung Developer's Conference. Galaxy F is the company's first attempt on creating a truly foldable smartphone. South Korean giant did showcase a prototype at the Developer's Conference, but in dark, which left a ton of questions on people's mind.
To begin with, Samsung Galaxy F features a 4.6-inch display with a resolution of 840×1960 pixels. Opening up the phone unveils a huge 7.3-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1536×2152 pixels, which basically converts it into a tablet whenever you require to act like one.
As the foldable smartphone showcased at the SDC 2018 was in the dark and not properly visible, LetsGoDigital has created a 3D render to give a better idea on what the device will look like. However, we just cannot assume anything as of now as the device is said to come after the Galaxy S10 is launched, and that is a long way ahead.
As for the specifications, Galaxy F is expected to be powered by the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 or the upcoming Snapdragon 855 chipset. The device will come with 6GB of RAM and up to 512GB of onboard storage.

Currently, there are speculations that suggest the Galaxy F will carry a hefty price tag of USD 1700 which roughly converts to Rs. 1,25,000. The price is just a speculation right now and this might even increase when it is officially launched. Considering that smartphones like Galaxy Note 9 and iPhone Xs Max cost upwards of USD 1,000, the USD 1,700 price tag can be swallowed.
