HMD Global is gearing up to launch some new Nokia smartphones in India. The Finish company has already rolled out the media invites for the launch event. The company is expected to launch the Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 7 Plus and the Nokia 6 (2018) in the country. Nokia might also bring the Nokia 8110 4G ‘Banana Phone’ to India. All these smartphones were unveiled at the MWC 2018 event.
HMD Global's media invites read “We welcome you to Explore. Express. Create. Reimagine”. “We welcome you to discover the N-powered city of tomorrow,” it further says. As per the invite, the event is set for Wednesday, April 4 and will be held in New Delhi.
Nokia recently launched the Nokia 1 Android Oreo (Go Edition) smartphone in India. The smartphone is priced at Rs. 5,499. Now its time for the flagship Nokia 8 Sirocco to enter India alongside a few other phones.

As far as the specifications are concerned, the Nokia 8 Sirocco is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC. The smartphone features a 5.5-inch P-OLED display with a resolution of 1440x2560 pixels. The device packs in 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage which is further expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card. The smartphone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. The Nokia 8 Sirocco is backed by a 3,260mAh battery which also supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0.
On the optics front, the Nokia 8 Sirocco features a dual camera setup at the back. The dual-camera setup includes a 12-megapixel sensor with f/1.75 aperture and another 12-megapixel sensor with f/2.6 aperture. Up front, there is a 5-megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture.
