Honor has finally started rolling out the Android Oreo-based EMUI 8 update under a beta program. The chinse smartphone manufacturer launched the Honor 7X with EMUI 5.1 based on Android Nougat. Now, finally, after much wait, the stable version of Android Oreo for the 7X is almost here.
Huawei earlier made an announcement that the Friendly User Test builds will be available for users who signup for it. The users who signed up have started receiving the Android Oreo beta update. The company also made an announcement for the same via their official twitter handle.

If you are a signed up user, you might receive a notification regarding the update soon. However, you can also check for available updates by heading over to Settings > System > System Update and tap on Check for Updates.
EMUI 8.0 based Android 8.0 Oreo for the Honor 7X brings in a lot of features to the table. Some of the features include, Smart Tips, Navigation Dock, Smart Screen and an AI Intelligent Engine.
Honor 7X Specifications
As far as the specifications are concerned, the Honor 7X is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 659 SoC. The smartphone features a 5.93-inch IPS LCD display. The display on the 7X is a 1080p panel and has an 18:9 aspect ratio. The device packs in 4GB of RAM with either 32GB or 64GB of onboard storage. Under the hood, there is a 3,340mAh battery powering up the internals.
On the optics front, the Honor 7X sports a dual camera setup at the back. The rear camera setup includes a 16-megapixel and a 2-megapixel camera sensor. Up front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie shooter.
