How to get BSNL Premium number in few simple steps

Here we will take a look at how you can register and get a Premium/VIP/Fancy phone number from BSNL in a few simple steps.

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) currently offers its customers the choice of getting a VIP number (premium number, fancy number, vanity number) easily. VIP numbers are easy to remember and have a special set of number combinations.

The company offers VIP phone numbers in both postpaid and prepaid configurations. These premium numbers are segregated into different patterns depending on their sequence of repetition and representation. Then they are categorised into three different categories, which set the base bidding prices.

These VIP numbers are aimed at providing users with a simpler community identity from others.

How to get BSNL Premium number

BSNL currently owns and operates an e-auction website, where its auctions premium numbers on a regular basis for all circles. At the website, you can look at the schedule of the auction in your circle and await the auction date to purchase a number.

To take part in the auction, you need to register yourself on the website. Here we will take a look at how you can register and take part in the auction.

Step 1: Head over to the BSNL e-auction website and select your circle.

Step 2: Click on the 'Login/Register' button.

Step 3: Now enter your mobile number and email ID. After which, BSNL will share the login details via a mail.

Step 4: After you get the login details tap on the 'Login' tab after clicking on the 'Login/Register' button. Then enter your mobile number and password.

Step 5: Click on the 'Available Numbers' tab located in the sidebar to take a look at the premium numbers currently available.

Step 6: Select the VIP number you want to bid on then click on the 'Continue to Cart' button.

Step 7: Pay the refundable registration amount and note down the closing date of bidding.

Step 8: On the e-auction date bid on the selected fancy number.

Note, BSNL will select three participants from the list of bidders, rest of them will get their registration fee back within 10 days after the e-auction is concluded. These three bidders will be classified as H1, H2, and H3 on the basis of their bidding amount.

If the highest bidder does not take the number, it will be offered to the next bidder, just like a normal auction.

The winner will need to provide BSNL with an address proof and identity details before the number is registered on their name.
