Huawei Maimang 8 with waterdrop style notched display, triple rear cameras and a capacitive fingerprint sensor launched in China. The device seems like a rebranded Huawei P Smart+ (2019) smartphone. The only difference is the increased RAM and internal storage modules.
This shows the company's determination to still release new smartphones in the market even though it is battling the US authorities at the same time.
Huawei Maimang 8 is priced at CNY 1,899 (approximately Rs 19,000) for the 6GB RAM/128GB internal storage variant. It is offered in two colour options Midnight Black and Sapphire Blue. The device is currently available on Huawei Mall and other major e-commerce platforms for pre-ordering and will go on sale starting June 12.
Huawei Maimang 8 sports a 6.21-inch full HD+ display with a 2340x1080 pixels and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by the company's own Kirin 710 processor paired with an ARM Mali-G51 MP4 GPU. The device comes with 6GB of RAM along with 128GB of internal storage expandable up to 512GB via a microSD card.
