Huawei, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer is now gearing up to launch its latest Mate 10 smartphones, The Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro in India. According to our source within the company, we got to know that Huawei is planning to launch the Mate 10 Pro in the country within this month or maximum by the next month. Alongside, the Mate 10 Pro, the company is also thinking to bring the comparatively cheaper Mate 10 Lite also.
As for the pricing, the source said that the company is still not pretty sure which pricing strategy they will be following, so he couldn't give us a definite price. However, as soon as we get any other information about it we will be updating this space. The company is targetting devices like the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus and the Apple iPhone 8 Plus as its competitors. The Mate 10 Lite, on the other hand, is being targetted as a competitor for the newly launched OnePlus 6 and Asus ZenFone 5Z. He further insisted, the company is trying to launch the devices within this month, however, if the deadline is missed due to shipping and ports problems the launch will take place next month.
Huawei Mate 10 Pro: Specifications
The Huawei Mate 10 Pro features a 6-inch 18:9 FullView AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080×2160 pixels. The smartphone is powered by the company's homegrown Hisilicon Kirin 970 chipset. The phone comes in two variants, one with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage and the other with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. As of now, we don't know which of these variants will make it to India. The phone is backed by a 4,000mAh battery and runs on Android 8.0 Oreo-based EMUI 8.0 out of the box. The phone is also IP67 rated which makes it dust and water resistant.
On the optics front, the Huawei Mate 10 Pro features a dual-camera setup at the back consisting of a 12-megapixel primary and a 20-megapixel secondary sensor. Up front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie shooter.
Huawei Mate 10 Lite: Specifications
Huawei Mate 10 Lite is the cheapest of the Mate 10 family. The Mate 10 Lite features a 5.9-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080x2160 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The dual-SIM handset is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 659 chipset. The phone packs in 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. The storage is expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card. Under the hood, there is a 3,430mAh battery powering up the device. The Mate 10 Lite runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with EMUI 5.1 layered on top of it.
In terms of the cameras, the Mate 10 Lite comes with a total of four camera sensors. The phone sports a dual-camera setup at the back consisting of a 16-megapixel sensor and a 2-megapixel sensor. Up front, there is a 13-megapixel primary sensor paired with a 2-megapixel secondary sensor for selfies.
