As the year 2017 is about to end and a new year is just around the corner, companies have started working hard to prepare their 2018 edition of smartphones. Samsung is being said to launch their new flagship Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus sometime in the month of March. LG, in order to keep up with the competition, will be launching the successor to the G6, the G7 before the S9 is launched.
As per a report from BusinessKorea, LG might be launching the flagship LG G7 in the CES 2018 which is being held in Las Vegas in the month of January. It is also being said the before officially launching the Galaxy S9, Samsung might showcase the smartphone in the CES.
Evan Blass, a renowned tipster, earlier wrote in Venture Beat about how Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus will be showcased at CES 2018. The report suggests that though the actual launch will be held in March, the devices will be unveiled at the CES. The LG G6 was launched at the MWC 2017 and as per the reports, the company might not wait for the MWC (Mobile World Congress) to arrive and take the opportunity of CES (Consumer Electronics Show).

When the LG G6 came out it was a bit late in the game and brought Snapdragon 821 under the hood. The company is trying to fix it this year by launching the flagship a little bit earlier. As Samsung has already purchased the first lot of Snapdragon 845 from Qualcomm, it will be interesting to see if the G7 will manage to get the Snapdragon 845 and that too on time.
