Lenovo-owned Motorola has finally launched the much awaited Moto G6. Moto G-series has been popular in the mid-range smartphone market ever since their introduction. The company has also unveiled the more affordable Moto G6 Play. However, Moto G6 Plus will be launched after a few months.
Moto G6 Specifications
As far as the specifications are concerned, the G6 features a 5.7-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080x2160 pixels and an 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC coupled with 3GB or 4GB of RAM. The device packs in 32GB or 64GB of onboard storage which is further expandable using a MicroSD card. The smartphone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box and it is backed by a 3,000mAh battery.
On the optics front, the Moto G6 sports a dual-camera setup at the back consisting of a 12-megapixel and a 5-megapixel sensor. Up front, there is a 16-megapixel selfie shooter.
Moto G6 Play Specifications
Motorola G6 Play features a 5.7-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720x1440 pixels and an 18:9 aspect ratio. The dual-SIM handset is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor. The smartphone packs in 3GB of RAM coupled with 32GB of onboard storage which is further expandable using a microSD card. The G6 Play runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. Under the hood, there is a 4,000mAh battery powering up everything.
In the camera segment, the G6 Play sports a single 13-megapixel camera sensor at the back. Up front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie snapper.
Price and Availability
The Moto G6 is priced at Rs. 13,999 for the 3GB+32GB variant while the 4GB+64GB variant retails for Rs. 15,999. The G6 Play, on the other hand, comes with a price tag of Rs. 11,999. The smartphones will be exclusively available via the e-commerce website Amazon as well as the Moto Hubs around the country.
