Lenovo-owned Motorola has finally launched the much anticipated Moto G6-series. The Moto G6-series consists of three smartphones, the Moto G6 Plus, Moto G6 and the Moto G6 Play. The mid-range smartphones have currently launched in Brazil and will make its way soon to the other markets.
The Moto G6 Plus features a 5.9-inch FullHD+ IPS LCD display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC. The device packs in 4GB or 6GB of RAM coupled with 64GB of onboard storage which is further expandable using a microSD card. Under the hood, there is a 3,200mAh battery powering up the device.
On the optics front, the Moto G6 Plus sports a dual-camera setup at the back consisting of a 12-megapixel and a 5-megapixel sensor. Up front, there is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.
Moto G6 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC. The smartphone features 5.7-inch IPS LCD FullHD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The G6 comes in two variants, 3GB RAM+32GB storage and 4GB RAM+64GB storage. The smartphone runs on Android Oreo out of the box and is backed by a 3,000mAh battery.
In the camera segment, the Moto G6 sports a 12MP+5MP dual-camera setup at the back. Up front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie snapper.
Just like the Moto G6, the G6 Play also has a 5.7-inch IPS display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. However, instead of a FullHD+ display, the G6 Play has an HD+ display. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 427 chipset. The device comes with 2GB or 3GB of RAM coupled with 16GB or 32GB of onboard storage. The smartphone runs on Android Oreo and backed by a 4,000mAh battery.
In terms of optics, the Moto G6 Play sports a 13-megapixel camera at the back. Up front, there is a 5-megapixel selfie shooter.
The Moto G6 Plus is launched for a starting price of USD 370 (roughly Rs. 24,500). The Moto G6 and the G6 Play are priced at USD 249 (roughly Rs. 16,500) and USD 199 (roughly Rs. 13,000) respectively.
Notably, the prices for these smartphones have increased when comparing them to their predecessors.
