Motorola just launched the successor to its first Moto G Play from back in 2021, dubbed the Moto G Play (2023) in the US market. The company has not revealed when it will be launching the device in other international markets, however, we expect it to do that early next year.
Moto G Play (2023): Price, availability
Motorola Moto G Play (2023) has been launched in a single Deep Indigo colour variant, priced at $170 (approximately A$250; Rs 14,000). The device will be made available on sale starting December 12 via the company's official website, Amazon, BestBuy and via all major pre-paid carriers in the country.
The company is yet to announce when it will be launching the new smartphone in other international markets including Australia and India.
Moto G Play (2023): Specifications
Moto G Play sports a 6.5-inch IPS TFT LCD HD+ display with a resolution of 1600x720 pixels. The display comes with a refresh rate of 90Hz and comes with a hole punch to house the selfie camera.
The device is powered by the MediaTek Helio G37 chipset paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage via a microSD card. It comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and an IP52 dust and water resistance rating.

The device runs Google's Android 12 operating system and is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W charging. Another interesting feature is that the device comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack.
On the back, it features a triple camera setup consisting of a 16-megapixel primary sensor, paired with a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. At the front, it features an 8-megapixel sensor for capturing selfies.
