OnePlus could launch OnePlus TV at their MWC 2019 event, OnePlus 7 also expected

OnePlus is expected to launch the OnePlus TV or OnePlus 7 at their upcoming event during MWC 2019. Here's what you need to know

OnePlus could launch a 5G variant of the OnePlus 6T at MWC 2019

Mobile World Congress or MWC 2019 is just around the corner and for the first time, we are going to see the Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus at the event. The company has already rolled out media invites for the upcoming event. The MWC 2019 is set to begin on February 25 and will go on until February 28.

OnePlus rolled out a couple of media invites for a meeting that will take place ahead of MWX 2019. The invite does not reveal much information and it reads “Reimagine the future with OnePlus.”

According to some recent reports, the company might be taking this opportunity to launch a new OnePlus TV, which will compete against Xiaomi's Mi TV by offering premium flagship design at a budget price. Notably, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau announced last year that they have plans on bringing such product to the market soon.

OnePlus earlier said, “It is a natural extension for OnePlus to address gaps in the television industry, which it tackled in the smartphone market - balancing high-quality hardware with the latest in technology, developing a seamless user experience, and crafting hardware that is minimalistic and timeliness in design.”

Apart from the OnePlus TV, the company might also unveil a 5G version of the OnePlus 6T as spotted on some earlier leaks. The smartphone will look similar to the regular variant but will carry the necessary internals for a 5G connection.

Although it is most unlikely, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer could also unveil their next flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 7. OnePlus 7 is expected to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor and up to 10GB of RAM. According to the earlier leaks, the phone might have a pop-up mechanism for selfie camera just like the Oppo Find X.
