Detel, a company known for making affordable feature phones and select television sets, has unveiled their latest TV for the Indian market. The new LCD TV is touted to be the world's most economical TV by the company. Detel D1 LCD TV is priced at Rs 3,999 and features a 19-inch A+ grade LCD panel. It also sports an HDMI port as well as a USB port. The TV can be used as a computer monitor or as a standalone TV depending on the need of the consumer.

Detel D1 TV Features

The Detel D1 features a 19-inch (48 cms) display panel with 1366x768 pixels resolution and a 300000:1 contrast ratio. The TV is assisted with two front-firing speakers rated at 12W that the company claims to deliver clear, smooth and a loud audio output. The TV also comes preloaded with a few games for users to pass some time, though we might not recommend playing them.

In terms of connectivity, the Detel D1 sports an HDMI port for connecting it to computers and a USB slot for Audio, Video playback. This enables users to use the TV as a computer monitor or as a standalone TV or as a both.

Price and Availability

The Detel D1 LCD TV has been launched in India at a price of Rs 3,999. Television is available for purchase through the company's website or through their mobile app. It is also available to buy via b2badda.

Huawei has brought a Mate-series smartphone for the first time in India, which is why the company also has a lot to offer alongside the phone. The company has collaborated with Senhiser, Dolby Atmos, Vodafone and Idea to bring a ton of offers for the Mate 20 Pro buyers in India.

To begin with, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro comes with a Sennheiser PXC 550 Bluetooth headphones, if you are willing to pay just Rs. 2,000 over the launch price of the smartphone. Mate 20 Pro is priced at Rs. 69,990, which means to get the headphones alongside the phone, you will need to pay a sum of Rs. 71,990. However, the offer looks quite impressive as the headphones themselves cost Rs. 29,990, if you plan to buy them separately.

Huawei Mate 20 Pro will be available via Amazon India starting midnight on December 3, 2018, for the Prime members. The regular Amazon customers, on the other hand, will have to wait until December 4, midnight to get their hands on the device. For those who are willing to buy the phone via offline markets can head over to their nearest Croma stores starting December 10.

As for the carrier offers, Vodafone and Idea have partnered up with Huawei to offer some great deals to Mate 20 Pro buyers. Vodafone Red and Idea Nirvana postpaid customers can get a  20 percent discount per month for the next 12 months on rental plans of above Rs. 499. Prepaid users, on the other hand, can enjoy 1.1GB of 4G data for 12 months on recharges above Rs. 199.

Huawei India has finally launched their latest flagship smartphone, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro in India. The key highlights of the smartphone are the triple camera setup at the back and an in-display fingerprint scanner at the front. Interestingly, the phone not only has reverse charging but also has something called reverse wireless charging, which can essentially charge other phones wirelessly when attached to the back of the Mate 20 Pro.

Specifications

Huawei Mate 20 Pro is powered by the company's latest flagship Kirin 980 processor which is paired with Mali-G76 MP10 GPU. The smartphone features a 6.39-inch notched AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440x3120 pixels. It packs in up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. All of this is backed by a 4,200mAh battery which support's Huawei's new Super Charge technology.

On the optics front, the Mate 20 Pro sports a triple camera setup at the back consisting of a 40-megapixel wide, 20-megapixel ultrawide and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens. Just like most Huawei flagship phones, the cameras of the Mate 20 Pro are also powered by Leica optics. Up front, there is a 24-megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture.

Price and Availability

Huawei Mate 20 Pro is priced at Rs. 69,990 in India and will be available via Amazon as well as offline markets. The phone is launched in two colour variants, Emerald Green and Twilight Blue.

Vivo, the Chinese smartphone brand has launched its new Vivo Y95 smartphone in India. The device is priced at Rs 16,990 and comes with a waterdrop notch display and dual rear cameras. ColorOS UI comes with lots of white and gradient backgrounds, which makes the interface look more simplistic and spacious. It also brings in a new font, Oppo Sans, which has been developed by Oppo in collaboration with another Chinese company, Hanyi. The new font offers more modern, uniform and neater strokes.

Apart from the visual changes, the ColorOS 6.0 also features machine learning or AI capabilities. It basically analyses the user's daily activities in order to freeze the most used applications instead of traditionally closing them. This allows the UI to bring down the power consumption by 7 per cent and eventually improve the battery life of the smartphone.

Further, the ColorOS 6.0 also brings in a new feature called Game sounder function. The feature offers customised sound templates for a different gaming experience.

As of now, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has not announced the list of devices that will be getting the update. However, it is confirmed that Oppo Find X will be one of the first smartphones to get the new UI. The company will start rolling out the update next year. It might ship with Android 9.0 Pie.

Samsung has launched a new white colour variant of its flagship smartphone, Galaxy Note 9 in Taiwan. Samsung is calling this version as the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 First Snow White. The company has stated that the white colour option will be made available to consumers very soon. Interestingly, they have also added a matching white stylus to keep the look much more clean and uniform.

It is not known if this colour variant of the device will be making its way into the global market or not. However, considering white is not an outrageous colour choice Samsung might be tended towards launching this variant in the global markets pretty soon. The device remains the same and nothing regarding the specifications has changed.

The company currently offers the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 in Lavender Purple, Metallic Copper, Midnight Black, Ocean Blue and Cloud Silver colour options. However, availability of the colour variant depends upon the market.

Just a reminder, Samsung has not released a white variant of their Note series of smartphones since the Galaxy Note 5.

The storage is further expandable up to 512GB using a microSD card. All of this is backed by a 4,000mAh battery.
