Reliance Jio and HMD Global were the companies who were bringing back the feature phone back to the market. Surprisingly, there aren't the only ones in the competition right now. Recently, Xiaomi announced their Qin AI feature phone powered by Android and has AI based features. The smartphone is funded by the company's crowdfunding platform based in China.
However, the offering by Xiaomi is different than the offering by HMD Global and Reliance Jio. The Qin AI by Xiaomi sports an Android OS while the rest sports Kai OS. Users can control the UI using a T9 keypad and view everything on a small 2.8-inch colour display with a resolution of 320x240pixels. Just like the Jio Phone, the Qin AI also supports 4G VoLTE.

Display
The Xiaomi Qin AI features a 2.8-inch QVGA Corning Gorilla Glass display. That's interesting features as the rest of the feature phones sport a cheap plastic display. On the other hand, the Qin AI features a glass display that too a Corning Gorilla Glass for added protection.

The Xiaomi Qin AI feature phone, sports an IR Blaster. That means it can be used as a universal remote for all your televisions and other things at home. This makes life such convenient.
USB TYPE-C
The Xiaomi Qin AI sports a USB TYPE-C port which allows it to charge faster and eliminates the issues with the traditional micro-USB port. There is no other phone, feature phone or smartphone that offers such level of attention to user experience that costs even twice as much.
AI Voice Assistant
As the name would suggest the Qin AI is powered by an AI-based processor and includes an AI-based assistant that can help you answer questions like Google Assistant, offering hands-free usage of phone and more.
Software
The Xiaomi Qin AI is based on Android OS. This means all the applications like WhatsApp and Snapchat can be used in your Qin AI feature phone. The offering's by other companies still run off Kai OS or Java-based os which cannot run apps like WhatsApp.
