One UI makes reachability easier

While Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ have started receiving the stable Android 9 Pie update, the Galaxy Note 9 is getting its third Beta update. The Android 9 Pie based One UI Beta update has recived some bug fixes and improvements alongside the January 1, 2019 security patch.

As far as the changelog is concerned, the new N960FXXU2ZRLR update brings quite a lot of bug fixes. The update weighs in at around 332MB. It fixes random System UI crashes and bugs with the Samsung Notes, Contacts and the Dialer application.

Surprisingly, the update also brings the January 1, 2019 Android Security Patch to the table. It makes the Galaxy Note 9 one of the first Android smartphones to get the security patch. Further, the update also fixes issues related to the navigation bar gestures not working in full screen mode.

Soon after the 332MB update, we also received another minor update weighing in at around 123MB. It brings improvements to the camera of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Specifications

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 features a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2960x1440 pixels. The smartphone is powered by the Exynos 9810 octa-core processor. It packs in up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. All of this is backed by a 4,000mAh battery.

On the optics front, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 sports a dual-camera setup at the back consisting of a 12-megapixel primary and a 12-megapixel secondary sensor. Up front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie shooter.
