Samsung launched new wearable devices: Everything you need to know

Samsung, on Wednesday, launched three new wearable products at the IFA Berlin. The list of the new devices includes Samsung Gear IconX, Samsung Gear Sport and the Samsung Gear Fit 2. According to the company, wearables are the next big thing now which can help a person in his every-day life. Meanwhile, the company's Gear S3 range has performed very well since the launch and that is why Samsung is working on the new technologies of the wearable devices.

Samsung Gear Sport

Samsung Gear Sport is yet another variant of the already launched Gear S3. The Gear Sport is slightly smaller than the Gear S3, which is the company's flagship variable product. When compared to the Gear S3, the Gear Sport brings in five atmospheres of water-resistance and improved durability.

On the specifications front, the smartwatch features a 1.2-inch Super AMOLED display protected by Gorilla Glass 3 with a resolution of 360x360 pixels and a pixel density of 302ppi. The Gear Sport is powered by a dual-core 1GHz processor coupled with 768MB of RAM and 4GB of onboard storage.

As far as the pricing is concerned, the Gear Sport will fit in somewhere between the Gear S3 and the Gear Fit 2 Pro. However, the official pricing and availability details are not out yet.

Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro

The Gear Fit 2 Pro is an updated fitness tracker offering from Samsung. The smart band features a 1.5-inch curved Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 216x432 pixels and a pixel density of 310ppi. It is powered by a dual-core 1GHz chipset coupled with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of inbuilt storage. All of this is backed by a 200mAh battery which can deliver up to 10hrs of GPS usage.

The new Gear Fit 2 Pro is currently priced at $199 which roughly converts to Rs. 12,750.

Samsung Gear Icon X 2018

The Gear Icon X 2018 is an upgraded version of the already available Gear Icon X. The new wireless earbuds bring extra battery life which is now 5hrs of streaming playback. The new Icon X also comes with 4GB of internal storage to save downloaded music and hear it even when not connected to your smartphone. The capacitive controls on the new earbuds allows the user to play/pause, skip track, adjust volume and call up the default voice assistant to perform other tasks
