Xiaomi's new sub-brand has just launched the Redmi Note 7 in China. Here are some alternatives available in India
Xiaomi under its sub-brand Redmi has finally launched a new mid-range smartphone in China, the Redmi Note 7. While it is a successor to the Redmi Note 6 Pro, it brings in a major change over the last generation. The Redmi Note 7 now comes with a 48-megapixel camera at the back and a Snapdragon 660 chip inside. Here are some of the alternatives you can find in India right now.
Asus ZenFone Max Pro is currently offering the best value for your buck. It comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC paired with up to 6GB of RAM. It runs on a nearly stock version of Android. Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 is currently available at a starting price of Rs. 12,999 via the e-commerce giant, Flipkart.
In case you do not prefer stock Android and want a custom UI with more features, the Realme 2 Pro is for you. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo based ColorOS 5.2 out of the box. It comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor coupled with up to 6GB of RAM. The phone features a water drop notch up front and it is currently available for a starting price of Rs. 13,990.
Just like the Realme 2 Pro, Honor 8X also runs on a custom UI called EMUI. It sports a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels. It comes with the Kirin 710 processor coupled with up to 6GB of RAM. It packs in 64GB of onboard storage which is further expandable using a microSD card. Honor 8X is available at a starting price of Rs. 14,999.
Huawei has just announced the launch of their new mid-range smartphone, the Huawei Y9 in India. It comes with a Kirin 710 chipset and a notched display up front. It also has an AI backed dual-camera setup at the back. Huawei Y9 (2019) is launched with a price tag of Rs. 15,999 in the country.

In case you want a pure stock Android experiance, the Xiaomi Mi A2 is the phone you should be looking for. Xiaomi Mi A2 is a part of Google’s Android One program, which means it runs on clean stock Android. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC and comes with up to 6GB of RAM. All of this comes in at a starting price of Rs. 15,999.
