Viber releases version 10 with a whole new UI and tons of new features for Android and iOS. Here's what you need to know
Viber is a popular cross-platform messaging application which also brings voice calls and video calls. The company recently celebrated their 8th birthday and in order to celebrate the milestone, Viber has released a new version of the application. The all-new Viber 10 brings in a whole new user interface with a couple of new features.
With the new update, the company has improved the reliability and stability of the messaging app, as it is something that people will use on a daily basis. Viber also claims that with the new update sending messages has become 2x faster than ever. Additionally, the voice and video calls have received a quality boost to become more clear.
As for the UI, the company has given the application a complete overhaul. The app now has an all-white theme going on, which looks much cleaner and minimalistic. However, as Violet is Viber's colour of choice, you will still see the accent here and there. Now you can access all of your private and group chats, communities and favourite public content in the main chat list. This means that you will not need to switch between different screens.
In terms of the new features, Viber 10 includes hidden-number chats in communities. It is a safe way to make new friends who share the same passions and interests as you. Here both the users will not require to share their phone numbers.
Further, the company has also promised that group video calling will soon be made available on the platform.
