Vodafone and Flipkart offer 4G smartphones at just Rs. 999, Here's how to get one

Vodafone India now offers a 4G Android handset for as low as Rs. 999. The company in partnership with Flipkart has started a campaign called #MyFirst4GSmartphone. Under this campaign, Vodafone is offering cashback on select entry-level 4G smartphones. The offer starts today, January 24 and will be valid until March 31, 11:59 PM.

Commenting on the offer, Avneesh Khosla, Associate Director - Consumer Business, Vodafone India said, “We are delighted to partner with Flipkart and extend this offer to our existing and new pre-paid customers. This is an initiative to make 4G smartphones available at a never before price points and thus, democratize access to Vodafone SuperNet 4G. We hope that this will help fulfil the aspirations of several million phone users across the country who desire a smartphone but couldn’t afford one. It will also encourage current non-users of 4G to upgrade and enjoy a richer user experience with Vodafone SuperNet 4G.”

Ayyappan Rajagopal, Senior Director - Smartphones at Flipkart, said, “Flipkart focuses on ensuring a shopping experience for customers that is driven by a diverse selection and great offers. This association marries well with Flipkart’s vision of making smartphone technology affordable and accessible to everyone in the country.”

What's the offer?

Both existing, as well as new Vodafone customers, are eligible for the offer. In order to avail the offer, customers will have to purchase the smartphone via Flipkart. Once purchased, users need to make a recharge of at least Rs. 150 per month for 36 months. The user can decide to make the recharges all at once or on a monthly basis. After 18 months, user can claim a cash back of Rs. 900 and after a total of 36 months a cash back of Rs. 1,100. This makes a total cashback of Rs. 2,000.
