On this Monday, it will be 100 years since the solar eclipse so big in magnitude, it spanned the whole of United States of America was seen and it will be happening again. It is a special day for all including Google. That's why Google decided to launch Android O on that Day.
As we know Google is planning to launch Android O tomorrow in a celebratory event for the eclipse. The event is gonna be happening in New York City at 14:40 EST(00:10 IST). For those who aren't invited, Google will be live-streaming the Android O launch event for people to see worldwide.
According to the Android website, the NASA 2017 Total Eclipse will be live-streamed at 12:00 EST (09:30 IST) whereas the Google Android O will be revealed in a live stream at 14:40 EST(00:10 IST).
Android O Name?
Although the final name of Android O isn't confirmed yet there are rumors with enough evidence to tell us it is most probably going to be Oreo. A deleted tweet by Google on its Google+ page reveals so.
Also yesterday Hiroshi Lockheimer, SVP of Android tweeted out this an image to confuse us the name of Android. Although Google's social media interaction before the launch cannot be trusted as we know last year Hiroshi Lockheimer tried to convince us a lot of times that it is Android Nutella and not Nougat. So this tweet by Mr. Hiroshi can be taken as a way to confuse us all.
#AndroidO? 8.O, O, O, O, O, O, O or O... ? pic.twitter.com/YvzhCk2DJv
