How to watch Apple iPhone 8 launch livestream on September 12

Apple recently had sent out invites for a press launch event which will be held on September 12 at their very own Steve Jobs Theatre situated at the new Apple Campus. The company is calling it "Apple Special Event", and it is expected that it will be launching its newest generation smartphone, the Apple iPhone 8 along with the alleged iPhone 7S and the iPhone 7S Plus there. It has also been reported that the company will also be launching the new Apple Watch Series 3 and the new Apple TV there.

For those who did not get the invite Apple will be live streaming the iPhone 8 event on September 12, and here is how you can watch the unveiling of what might be the best smartphone of the year. We also will cover the launch and you will be able to read as to what all did Apple launch at the event soon after the event has ended.

When does the Livestream start?

Apple is set to host the event on September 12 and will start live streaming it at 10 AM PDT (10:30 PM IST). Similar to the previous Keynotes that Apple has hosted, it is supposed to go on for at least two hours which would make it end around 12 PM PDT (12:30 AM IST).

Where to watch the stream?

You can visit Apple's official website and under the events tab of the website you will be able to view the live stream, or you can simply visit this link.

What are the requirements to stream the event?

As per usual Apple has a few requirements that you will need to fulfil to be able to watch the live stream. They are as usual and all mobile and PC owners can watch it. Below are all the requirements needed to be followed.

  • You can watch the live stream on an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch with iOS 7.0 or later only by using the Safari web browser.
  • Mac users will require Mac OS X 10.8.5 or later and Safari 6.0.5 or later to watch it.
  • Apple TV owners can also view the launch, but it should be the 2nd generation or above of the Apple TV along with software version 6.2 or later.
  • PC users will be required to watch the event on the Microsoft Edge browser.
