Xiaomi, the Chinese giant, recently launched the Mi 5X in China along with its latest MIUI 9 which is based on Android Nougat. Xiaomi is planning to conduct an event on September 5, in India where they are most likely to introduce the Mi 5X in the country. However, the company did not mention the name of the smartphone unveiling at the launch event, but they did tout that the upcoming smartphone is going to have a dual-camera setup.

Meanwhile, it is also being said that, Xiaomi could introduce the Android One version of the Mi 5X in the launch event. The company has been working with Google for an Android One version from a long time now, and the device could be dubbed as Xiaomi A1.

Specifications
Xiaomi Mi 5X is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. The phone comes in two storage variants, one with 32GB and the other with 64GB and the storage is expandable up to 128GB using a microSD card. The smartphone features a 5.5-inch LTPS full HD display with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels and a pixel density of 401ppi. Out of the box, the phone runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat layered with MIUI 9 on top of it. All of this is backed by a 3,080mAh battery.
On the optics front, the Mi 5X sports a dual camera setup at the back consisting of a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens. For selfies and video calling, the phone comes with 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
In China, the Mi 5X is available in Black, Gold, and Pink colour options. As far as the pricing is concerned, Xiaomi Mi 5X is priced at CNY 1499 (roughly Rs. 14,200) for the 64GB variant.
